TULSA, Okla. (Oct 15, 2013) – Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar, in South Tulsa, took first place at Iron Gate’s Cooking for a Cause Gala, an annual fundraiser benefiting the nonprofit’s soup kitchen and food pantry.
The gala, held Oct. 7 at Metro Appliances & More, brought together Tulsa’s best restaurant talent and allowed each to showcase one of their items. Attendees were asked to select their favorite entree from among the 11 chef’s creations and Naples Flatbread’s “Osso Bucco with Asiago Farro” was chosen as the winner.
“This is such a huge honor and we’re so grateful to the participants that chose us as their favorite,” says founder Ralph Desiano. “We’re very happy to be part of this great fundraiser and to do our small part for this worthy cause. We’re also extremely proud of Chef/GM Andrew Palazzo and our entire Tulsa staff for representing Naples Flatbread in such a big way.”
The restaurant specializes in Neapolitan pizza and gourmet flatbreads cooked in a fiery hearth oven. The menu includes a wide assortment of flatbread toppings, hearth-baked pasta dishes, fire roasted wings, Panini sandwiches on artisan bread, fresh seasonal salads, osso buco, boneless short ribs, roasted salmon, a variety of desserts and more. The dishes are accompanied by a fine selection of wine with over 30 varieties by the glass, a great libations menu and a unique variety of beers selected to complement the food offerings.
Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar is located at 4929 E 71st Street, in South Tulsa. A second location will be opening later this fall in Tulsa, across from the BOK Center.
