TULSA, Okla. (Aug. 19, 2013) – Construction is underway at Naples Flatbread and Wine Bar’s newest location in the new One Place building, located across from the BOK Center, in downtown Tulsa. This is the second Tulsa location for the restaurant. Three others are located in Southwest Florida.
Naples Flatbread founder Ralph Desiano said this will be the largest restaurant and will be the prototype for franchising. “Our first four were remodels of failed restaurants, so we’re able to put our own flavor into the design,” he said.
Expected to open in November, the new downtown restaurant will include approximately 4,000 square feet, plus another 1,450 square feet on a south patio, which has an extended overhang that is actually the floor of a bar located on the second level of the building. “It’s very unique, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anything like it,” Desiano stated.
Inside, the new Naples Flatbread will feature black galaxy granite countertops throughout, plus cold-rolled steel encompassing the Wood Stone oven and the side surface of an island bar with tap beers and a liquor display. Three televisions will be located on each side of the centrally located bar. The bar area will also boast a custom water wall featuring cascading water running over three large high-definition televisions.
The dining area has a “firewall” that includes three elongated and enclosed fireplaces that can be seen from both sides of the wall. Floor-to-ceiling windows will offer patrons western and southern views.
“We are excited to be in a such a great location—right across from the BOK Center—and look forward to providing a great dining experience for our guests,” Desiano said. “We look forward to continuing the growth of our Oklahoma and Florida restaurants.”
He added that he is also seeking the right business partners to grow the franchise. “We are licensed to franchise throughout the country, but it’s important to us that we find the right fit.”
